Re:Tool? 17 Years, 8 Months ago
Sierratrout has a profile (if it is the same Sierratrout)--he just isn't signed in at the moment. I suggest taking all this nastiness off the board and onto private messages. Or better yet, how about everyone taking a deep breath, having some respect for other points of view, live and let live, and bringing up the conversation a notch. I don't know about anyone else, but I am sick of the name-calling and sniping. Let's talk about something else! Or if you must talk about this, do it without name calling! (Not that you are doing that, Buzz--just speaking in general).

Whew! Glad to get that off my chest. Thank you for letting me vent!

Actually, if it is the same Sierratrout, he has been around for a while, he just hasn't posted much recently. I really think that this whole thing degenerated into a big misunderstanding which should have never happened. It is the risk of interaction around a cyberfire instead of the real campfire. It is hard to know what people really mean and to take things too seriously, when in person, we probably would have laughed if off.

If I could ask anything, I would ask that everyone take a deep breath and start over. I hate to see such vitriol, especially when in reality, we have a lot more in common than not. I like to see people come together and want to hang out around real campfires, and I think that the conversation of late will drive folks away rather than together.

Just my opinion, of course.

Well, you are doing a masterful job of baiting, I have to admit.

Does my reaction mean that I too have taken the bait? It doesn't do to take things too seriously.

Yes Dawn...you rose like a hungry carp....not to insult our very own that is. OK, I'll tone it down....but it has been fun. Always seems to degenerate this way during this time of the year and I am such an Adam Henry that I just can't resist.

I think many haven't had the chance to get out and fish and I know I can't do ANYTHING until my shoulder is healed. Plus this house remodel is driving me nuts!!

I will just have to keep the memories of 15+ fish days of ocean bright chromers in days gone by........aw-w-w-w-w...........

Ha! It just occured to me that by admitting I was rising to the bait, I was also admitting I was brainless! Which is fairly true at the moment...

Take care of that shoulder! Are you going to the Oyster Bash? That shouldn't be too hard on the shoulder (although I know it is hard to get away from home remodeling).

Hope to see you soon!

Brainless 17 Years, 8 Months ago
I pretty much know that I'm brainless, but at least I didn't rise to the bait. So what are you doing using bait on a FF board anyway??:

I'd recommmend flashy prose from the keyboard that is the equivalent of the classic pattern for Brookies...a Parmachene Belle

Tail: Scarlet and White, married
Butt: Peacock or Black Ostrich
Ribbing: Silver Tinsel
Body: Yellow Floss or wool
Wings: White with Scarlet stripe
Hackle: White and Scarlet
Head: Black

Even reading it on the net, you could really discern the inflection in his "voice". And you could anticipate when it was coming a post or two in advance.

Nobody did it better...

Uncle Jack was indeed good, but he couldn't hold a candle to Hodad. NOBODY did it better than Ho!
