Actually it doesn't quite say it all. Lets not forget that they were caught cheating earlier this season. It wasn't the first time Belichick was caught cheating either. The way they were cheating wasn't something insignificant either like say.. using stick'm or holding or something. They were caught taping the defensive coaches of the team they were playing so they could figure out their defensive signals. Then they would watch the defensive coach, see what kind of defense he called and relay that to Belichick so he could call a play that would take advantage of the defense they were in. 16-0* is a little more fitting if you ask me.

If you don't like it, stop 'em! Getting caught with a camera in the first few minutes of the first game of the season cannot possibly affect the rest of your season. Even Don Shula, the king grouch says so.

Actually, It DOES say it all.

I am no expert on the detailed rules about where you can and cannot tape other teams and coaches, but there is NOT a blanket prohibition against doing so, just on doing so from some sections of the stands (probably where the view is best) Their error was in getting caught, as was Bonds and all the other juicers.

I am glad they went 16-0, and I, at least, am not pure enough to start casting stones at anyone....

.....actually Shawn they were NOT caught cheating; they were caught violating the leagues taping policies. The league ruled that none of the footage was ever used to gain a competitive advantage in a game. Not to mention, almost every ex-coach addmitted that they all did it too when they coached......except Don Shula of course!

a person I know in the upper managment of a northern california NFL team pointed out to me that not one single coach, owner, or GM complained about the "punishment" or fact that the tapes were destroyed. They were all doing the same thing and wanted this story to disapear.

That's cheating! They were fined $750,000, $250,000 for the owner and $500,000 for Belichick. That's a pretty big fine for someone that didn't do anything wrong.

I never said THAT footage aided them, the league confiscated it! What about the footage from games before that? Duh!

Almost every ex coach? I haven't heard even ONE say anything like that but so what if they did. If they did it when they coached then they were cheating too. The Pat's broke the 11th commandment. "Though shall not get caught."

Maybe you should just quit watching football. To me it's BORING. You get 5 to 10 seconds of action followed by 2-3 minutes (at best) of dudes milling around on the field. Hockey is where it's at. It has the physicality of football plus all the positions require skill and the game has speed and flow. I hope some folks caught the outdoor game on New Years Day (shown on NBC) between Pittsburgh and Buffalo...classic stuff.
