I haven't been to the McCloud in a year or more so I picked out some dates a month back. Well, wouldn't you know it, I plan to be there Thursday afternoon through Sunday. Anyone hazard a guess as to the condition come Thursday? I know it's just a guess and will depend on the actual rainfall numbers for Tuesday and Wednesday,

but I would not expect it to be washed out, Storm is supposed to be tapering off by late Wed. You might just hit it perfectly, but always have rain gear with you
Now is the time that big browns come up out of Shasta lake to spawn so drag some big leeches in the deep holes.
October caddis should also be making an appearance.

I'm with Carpy... sounds like an ideal time to be on the McCloud. Fresh water in the system, the browns moving up... probably some Oct. Caddis and BWO's. Enjoy!
