Michael it was my first time out in about six weeks - between Sammie and my back I've really been out of the circuit. I was out just to be out...believe it or not the fishing was secondary. There were fish coming up between 9am & 11am just off the boat ramp and the 1st rocky point just south of the islands. I think a 16 or 18 tan bodied elk hair caddis might have done the trick.
As you know it's just such a pretty area, particularly this time of the year, it's hard to beat. And with absolutely no wind on the lake it was a real treat. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you make the trip.
Time for baseball...

Sonny, the black lab, ran ahead to make sure there were no gophers or jackrabbits in the way. If you don't give a dog a specific job, he'll improvise one for himself and it will invariably be fun. There's a lesson there.
