Coastal rivers are still closed. You can call 707-944-5533 for a report on rivers in Mendo, Sonoma, etc, counties, or 707-442-4502 for the north coast (Eel, Smith, Van Duzen, Mad, etc). We need a lot more rain before they will open them up, but from all reports it is on the way. However, with the acorn crop that is out, and other indications, we may just get so much rain that we may have to plow for steelhead once it gets started in ernest.
