That helps. I mostly nymph as well. Some patterns which I have found effective include: Pheasant Tail nymphs, small Golden Stones, egg patterns. Black A/P's, Copper and Red Copper Johns (and even Chartruese), Prince nymphs and other common trout patterns. I often try to be a little contrarian on the stream. I pick patterns that aren't being fished by everyone else, so the fish see something new and different. I see flies being fished down to size 16's, but I mostly opt for 10-12's with short shank hooks that give me a smaller fly, but a bigger gape to hook the fish.
Hope that gives you some ideas.
