Does anyone out there have a picture, web site or recipe for Ted Fay's Black Bomber? Can't seem to find it on usual search engines or fly suppier types. Thanks in advance for any help.

You can't get the Mustad hooks anymore that he used but try a 7957BX (if you can find those) or a 3906B in a size 8 or 10...
Tail: Grizzly Hackle Fibers,
Underbody: Leadwire,
Body: Black Wool Yarn, (use the leadwire and yarn to form a "football" shaped body)
Hackle: 2 turns of Grizzly Hackle.

Thanks pgw that's it. Many years ago we ran into some old timers on the Pit and they showed it to us. Couldn't remember what it looked like. I do remember that it was a weighted football and tumbled along the bottom. We use to tie the hackle about mid-body (a little closer to the hook eye).
