FF Lanyard 18 Years ago

If you use a lanyard, what do you put on it? What do you wish you could put on it? What do you like/dislike about them? Let's hear a little feedback! (I don't have one myself, but am thinking of using one this year.)

I recently went to a lanyard after using a chest pack... and a vest before that. Im trying to be a minimalist. I have 3x-7x tippet material, fly floatant, nippers, forceps,a couple indicators, and my fishing license with some leaders in the license bag.
I really like how much smaller it is than a vest and chest pack, i just carry a box of flies in my pocket and im set.

Police Protection is an oxymoron. Free citizens must protect themselves.

Dood,
A year ago I moved within a mile of a nice river and started fishing everyday. Soon I left my rod together and ditched the chest pack. All I take now is a line wih my clips, tippet, and foreceps around my neck. I still throw my fly box in my waders, or shirt pocket if its wet wading time, and an extra leader or indicators fits in your pocket easy.
One key to this is all I use for weight is gremelins weights in the BB size. Super soft so I can pull them off and re-use them, plus I don't have to clamp them down to stay put. So a little pouch of those and I'm all set.
I will wear a backback for a full day on the river to take beers and food.
