The Northern California Fly Fishing Board

I was in Auburn over the weekend and checked out a section of the Middle Fork American for a bit. In the AM the water was pretty cold and action was not to be found. I waited until late afternoon and went out again. At about 4:30 I saw a fish working over and over in the same spot sipping on the surface. Within another 15 minutes fish were working all over the place. I tied on a size 18 parachute BWO and proceeded to catch 6 fish in less than an hour. Nothing smaller than 14 and the biggest was a fat 18 incher. Never saw another fisher person.
