My bro and I took a trip with Matt Swan out of the Fly Shop yesterday. Had a great time. Weather turned out to be very mild with no rain. Stayed at the Lewiston Valley Motel. Beds were really uncomfortable. Ate at the grill across the way. Food was ok. Like all the reports say, more people than fish. But, we were able to go 5 for 9 on our very first Steelhead trip. Actually, we've gone after steelhead before but, we always fished trout-like water. Well, we found out during this trip that the steelies liked a little different water than trout. Landed fish from 22" to 27". Caught fish on #8 black/brown rubber legs, #16 FB PT and single egg imitations. Prepare yourself for crowds if you go...good luck.
