Here is a little clip of a Grizzly we encountered on this years Kanektok River trip. The group consisted of Flys4b8, Jet, Bluegrass Bill, and Pit Boss - great group and a great trip!

Nothing can survive down wind of him!!! ( Especially after he has been drinking beer and eating cheese )


His socks are natural bear repellent. Even flies avoid them!

His poor dog wears a gas mask when they go on road trips.

Hey Greg,

I will second what Joe said, that does bring back great memories and another trip like it would be great! I have not even had a chance to get out to fish at all since that trip . With the recent fires in S Cal I have my hands really full at work. Sure would love to retire here in the next couple years.

Seems so long ago now....but seeing that bear stand up brings it all back, REALLY FAST! Guess he was the 'welcoming committee', since that was within the first few hours of being on the lake. I will say, and Pit Boss can back me up, that I "DID" wet a line BEFORE you guys got there .....but I couldn't get those "Sok-ho's" to grab that time...but we did a little later .
