High Gas Prices are MY Fault! 17 Years, 6 Months ago
I'm sure you've heard of those apparently unrelated events that correlate in earthshaking results, such as if such and such a sports league wins the world series (or is it the Superbowl?), then the republican candidate (or is it the dem?) will win the national election.

There's also one regarding the stock market.

I don't pay much attention to them because the results are coincidence, not science.

HOWEVER, the high gas prices we're now and are about to experience are all my fault, and I apologize to you NorCalifornians and to the American people.

EVERY TIME I drive to NorCal to steelhead fish, gasoline prices spike. It doesn't matter if it's my autumn trip or my winter steelie trip. It's especially bad when I drive my van, which gets 23 mpg as opposed to my Celica which gets 34.

I'm leaving AZ on Monday and I'll be fishing by Wednesday. Okay, I'll own this one. I deserve the blame for the high energy prices...BUT I DIDN'T DESERVE THAT FREAKING PARKING TICKET!

Stay inside... never go fishing especially during winter... it sucks... don't go... There are definately no Steelhead in California rivers... You might as well go to Oregon.

Honda Odyssey, the #1 rated minivan according to consumer reports. I need something for work to lug my equipment around and because the back seat folds down I can sleep in it. I can also fit my 9' Outcast in it.

It used to get 24 mpg highway, but it's gettin a littld old. I guess it comes with a soccar sticker though.

Yo Ed... 17 Years, 6 Months ago
Aw, I was just kinda pokin fun at myself by mentioning the ticket. Who cares about a stupid ticket anyhow? I mean we've all had tickets before, some deserved some not.

It just amazes me that I always get to NorCal when the gas prices are sky high.

But who cares about a ticket, Ed. Yeah, the cop was wrong, dead wrong, I mean what the hell is a guy thinking to do something like that? What do you think, Ed? This guy is evidentally unstable, dangerous, do we want a guy like that carrying a gun around in our neighborhoods? We should start a petition, Ed, to get this guy off the force and get him some help. Let's start a fund to pay for his psychiatric sessions.

But, it's nothing to get excited about...I think I'll go fishing.

I'll take the fishing/meeting. I'm really paranoid about dinging my rod and a rock fight might just do it (3 winters ago I dinged my rod casting large split shot to get my nymph down. The next day, I got stuck in a snag and a little tug in the line to free it broke the rod. It was traumatic)

Minivan? 17 Years, 6 Months ago
What happened to your "traffic ticket red" Celica (and you wonder why you get tickets!)?

Buzz

P.S.: I bet you get NO tickets while driving the minivan!

Bruce,

I think you broke the law, and you are whining about the fact that you got busted for it. Suck it up!

As my old Platoon Sergeant used to tell me: Don't ask a question unless you KNOW you can stand the answer.

As for previous offenses, in some places a conviction for public urination would require you to register as a convicted sex offender for the rest of your life. You should have thanked that officer for letting you off so lightly!

HEY YOU ANARCHIST!!! 17 Years, 6 Months ago
If you can't obey the laws whether you like them or not,

STAY HOME.

Road Dog and Sgt. DIaz will be on the look out for Arizona plates next week, you better be on your best behavior.

You can't pick and choose which rules you obey and which you don't. Your flagrant disregard for California ( and Arizona, I might add) traffic regulations which are designed to keep us all safe and prevent anarchy and chaos, makes me wonder, do you obey Fish and Game laws with the same laissez faire attitude?

(IMHO- they should give that officer an automatic weapon and he should have called a tow truck too)

before you come back read these:

DMV HANDBOOK

http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/dl600.pdf

http://www...-08-inland-fish-regs.pdf

http://www...fish-regs-supplement.pdf

Here are some rather obscure laws here in California that you also need to obey:

1. Sunshine is guaranteed to the masses.

2.Animals are banned from mating publicly within 1,500 feet of a tavern, school, or place of worship.

3.Bathhouses are against the law.

4.It is a misdemeanor to shoot at any kind of game from a moving vehicle, unless the target is a whale.

5.Women may not drive in a house coat.

6.No vehicle without a driver may exceed 60 miles per hour.

7. In Chico, Detonating a nuclear device within the city limits results in a $500 fine.

8. In LA, It is illegal for a man to beat his wife with a strap wider than 2 inches without her consent, and toads may not be licked.

9. In San Francisco, persons classified as "ugly" may not walk down any street.

Heck, Ed. I didn't REALLY want to know what you think...unless you agree with me

There's a difference between whining and being pissed. I think it has to do with the pitch of one's voice. I'm gonna drop the latest ticket thing. Heck, I'm heading up in a few days.

I'm just wondering what my next infraction will be
Maybe I'll get busted for spitting!

Hey, maybe I'll forget to mash down my barbs, although I've heard that that infraction has already been claimed by another campfire-sitter.

Yeah, 2 out of 3 anyhow. The last ticket was for a cobalt blue Chevy Aveo. Not a mini van but not a Celica either.

And, remember Buzzy, only ONE of those was a moving violation, depending on your definition of "moving" that is.
