Xmas came early, I think :) :) 17 Years, 6 Months ago
One of my trailer girlfriends hushbands was into flyfishing, rod build and fly tying. He died about 2 years ago. She's really into flyfishing and had been after me to buy some of his things. So she brought themm all down to Kern River trip with he rin her neew 27 ft Airstream trailer. So I brought 2 huge Rubbermaid boxes of mainly fly tying stuff. I got 3 vises including the dyna king model that I have. I got tons of dubbing, feathers, hooks etc. Its like Xmas. Plus I got rodbuilding setup and lots of thread, both rod building and fly tying. Plus I got videos and DVD's. Looks like my Oakland casting club will be getting donations. Truly a win-win situation. His bamboo rods are going on ebay.

Oh, Loretta, don't put them on E-Bay cold. Some of them might be worth a ton of Money.

Get someone to look at them.

I am no caniac, but there are lots around. If you want, i could put you in touch with a guy I know Down East, but that's a long way off.

I have seen cane rods, used but in good shape go for several thousand dollars.

If you do just post them cold let me know, and I'll sic my caniac friends into the bidding.

Or post some pics here. We have some knowledgeable cane enthusiasts at the old NCFFB, and it sounds like fun! Don't leave us out of the loop! *S*

I live in the city, but don't fit in,
You know it's a pity the shape I'm in.
Well, I've got no home, and I've got no choice,
Oh Lord have mercy on a country boy!
