Sure did over here in Concord. We also had a 2.9 Quake today a little bit northwest of Concord.

It rolled pretty well up here in SF. I've got a sore back, and was leaning on a doorframe watching the Warriors. Didn't even have to move. Duration was pretty good--ten or more seconds I'd say.

...over here in Cobb we have earthquakes every few hours. I live right smack where the geysers are - a lot of small earthquakes. I think I've gotten so used to it that I don't notice unless something falls off of the wall.

It was incredibly scary here. The dangly thing off the lamp was swaying pret near 2 inches. Obviously it was a slow fishing day in Clayton!

On the Calaveras Fault 17 Years, 6 Months ago
Since it was in that location it shook a lot of areas pretty good.

I had just dropped my wife off in South San Jose and was on the road in Milpitas (very near the epicenter). It shook the car pretty good, but nothing like the Loma Prieta!

It also shook some stuff off of my mother-in-law's mantle.

More interesting, though, is that my son, who was at Modesto JC at Orchestra rehearsal said it shook so good there that they stopped rehearsal for a while. In Modesto. Really.

Felt it quite strongly in Monterey and PG - my first guess was 6.0 in Hollister - guess I was a bit high... was on my third glass of red wine.

In the car coming home from work... 17 Years, 6 Months ago
Didn't even know about it until I read about it in the newspaper this morning.

My sister in-law was delivering her baby girl around that time. It was earth shaking news!
