Tow lights are cheap insurance. I got mine at Harbor freight. I like you will be duct taping and cable tying to make sure that plug stays securely in. I always carry duct tape but now got Gorilla Tape" just in case. In some of the smaller towns, it may be hard to find tow lights.
For a longer trailer like yours, you probably can find the tow lights with a longer cord online (url below)or at a truck stop.

Luckily, my Subaru's plug is a 7/4 plug. Because my teardrop is narrower than my Subaru, you could still see the Subaru's turn signals driving behind the trailer.
My friends also fish Warner Creek and Nelson Creek. They caught fish at both of those creeks. It was hard to me to leave Deer Creek to fish elsewhere since the fishing was so good there.
