After the "heads-up" by Fishhawk (thanks) we've been researching the snow conditions in WY. For the past 8 years, the snowpack has been 50% of normal. Hence, our planning to head up there early (this coming Sunday) to hit the ice-melt when the goldens are active.
This year, the snowpack is 136% of normal, and we may get skunked in our attempt to get to the high country.
Info is sketchy. We'd be leaving from Lander, WY.
Any ideas for getting up to the minute info? We've already called outfitters and G&F in Dubois. No one seems to know much.
If we can't fish in the Wind River Mts., any suggestions where we might want to try?
Thanks
