I got the grip and reel seat mounted up on the Raffle rod and it felt more "substantive" than a 4 weight (which was how the blank was sold). So I measured the blank using
The Common Cents System and the rod calculates out to a 5.65wt with a Moderate action (Action Angle = 60). So we will call it a 5/6wt, meaning 5wt with a DT line, 6wt with a WF line.
The grip is over-sized, which ergonimically works much better for a longer rod. You really have to hold in your hand and/or cast it to appreciate the difference.
