The Northern California Fly Fishing Board

I didn't mean to imply that this is my first trip to Kodiak. I went there in Sept. of 2006, and fished the road system, just as you described. The American didn't work for us but we really enjoyed the Olds, although we sure weren't alone there.

My problem was I didn't experiment enough with different patterns, hence my posted question. I only used pink flies, based on what I read in "Alaska Fly Fishing". This time, I'll work it more and try to fish smarter.
