Damn it SLO, I was fishing a couple of miles from you on the 4th of July. A buddy of mine from Reno, not FTIR, and I were up at Emma Lake. We froze our asses off that day. Who would have thought you could get frost bite on the 4th of July. We hiked in with our float tubes and when we got to the lake the wind was blowing and the water temp was probably about 40 degrees. Shorts and breathable waders weren't getting the job done. After about 3 hours we were so cold that we couldn't get off the lake quick enough. The lake is loaded with brookies, but the water was so cold that they didn't put up much of a fight. Good thing we had plenty of antifreeze in the truck. Next time you get in my neck of the woods give me a call.
