Baum Lake was good today. We only saw two other fishermen. Fished from 9:30-3:00. We stopped when we saw noses, and the fishing was good most of the day. We hooked 20-25, landed about 18, missed about 100. Small nymphs and some emerger dries [some sunken and even being retrieved]. They were planters, but included fish of 17" and 18". Lots of fun.

One Bald Eagle, lots of Osprey, lots of White Pelicans, LOTS of Canada Geese, several muskrats, all in all a great day, despite the wind.

Our tradition is that of the first man who sneaked away to the creek
when the tribe did not really need fish.

Ospreys and Eagles always make for a good day on the water, no matter what the fishing.
