The Northern California Fly Fishing Board

Greetings:
It's nice to be back participating on the NCFFB, and what a nice looking site it is! I'm mozying around here, just trying to get a feel for the new format....
Sherri and I are very interested in attending the Spring Bash this year, especdially after having missed last year's festivities. It looks like the weekend of June 14th is a popular choice for the date this year, but this date has not been firmly established yet - am I right? We're available for pretty much any of the June dates, and are looking forward to this great event again. Last Spring, Sherri ASKED FOR, (and of course received,) a new 4wt outfit for Mother's Day. -And she's looking to try it out in the worst way!
At any rate, I'm going to continue looking around here and see if I can figure out the intricacies of the new board.

Thanks for the kind reply. Sherri & I are both looking forward to the Bash this spring as I said before. I'm really glad you enjoy Behnke's monograph, and I certainly hope it helped in you studies as well. If you are still using it, by all means hang on to it. It's interesting, really - when that monograph was published, it was not as widely available as, say, the later Trout and Salmon of North America. However, it is a special read in its own way, and it's portable,just as an added bonus.
I may have been away, but I have done some fishing & I'll be glad to swap stories at the Bash or whenever. Retirement has a lot to do with my lack of posting in recent months; I had/have about 5 lifetimes worth of things I want to do: The list isn't getting any shorter, but it sure is fun working on it!
Please let me know if Sherri and I can help at the bash. We will probably be going up Thursday, if that helps. I have driven of the banner before, (just for an example), so that it could be there early. Please advise re. other volunteer opportunities.
