bass fishing 18 Years, 4 Months ago  
we heard the pond was fishing pretty well so we headed out to give it a try. the week before a 6 and 8 lber were landed. it was cold and windy. water temp is still in the fifties but the bite was pretty good. I landed 11 this was the biggest. didn't have the fly gear with me which was the right choice. fish were off the bank and deep. slow was the rule and that was too fast.

well,, I guess honesty is the best policy,,,,Most the ponds are full around here so it should be a great spring bass season..

Hmmmmmm.....Got a Fly of the Month coming out shortly with a focus on topwater Bass. Looks like it is time!

this year was almost a disaster for this particular pond. ACoE came out to check the gate valve which stuck open as a result. lost 40 feet before a diver got in to verify what the valve manufacturer was so they could order parts.
