I'm going to be there all 3 days, I've been trying to figure out when the best time for a tailgater would be. The weather gods aren't as friendly at this show as they have been the last few years for the ISE Sacto shows. But I bought a Tri-tip and stuff to make Choc. chip cookies regardless.

HIGH PRESSURE WILL BEGIN TO WEAKEN TODAY AS A WEAK LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM APPROACHES THE REGION. LIGHT SHOWERS AND COOLER TEMPERATURES ARE LIKELY TUESDAY AFTERNOON INTO TUESDAY NIGHT. AT THIS TIME PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS LOOK TO BE AROUND A TENTH OF AN INCH FOR THE CENTRAL VALLEY...AND AROUND A QUARTER INCH FOR THE MOUNTAINS. A FEW INCHES OF SNOW OVER THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THIS FIRST SYSTEM BY EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING.

WEAK HIGH PRESSURE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON WILL QUICKLY BE REPLACED BY A STRONGER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM THURSDAY. MORE SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT. SEVERAL OF OUR COMPUTER MODELS ARE SUGGESTING A STORMY PATTERN WILL THEN DEVELOP FROM LATE FRIDAY INTO EARLY SUNDAY. WHILE IT IS TOO SOON TO NAIL DOWN THE DETAILS OF ANY WEEKEND STORMS...VERY GUSTY WINDS ARE POSSIBLE IN THE VALLEYS WITH HEAVY RAIN FROM LATE FRIDAY INTO EARLY SUNDAY. HEAVY SNOW IS ALSO POSSIBLE IN THE MOUNTAINS.

CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE LATEST NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORECASTS FOR UPDATES ON THIS DEVELOPING WEATHER SITUATION. IF YOUR PLANS CALL FOR TRAVEL INTO THE SIERRA NEVADA LATER THIS WEEK...CHECK ROAD CONDITIONS BEFORE DEPARTING AND PLAN FOR POSSIBLE HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS.
