It's amazing how warm a clear, 46-degree day can feel in the middle of February. This being the case, we packed up the kids and headed down to the ponds to see if any bluegill or bass would poke their heads up at us. There was sure a lot of ice out there, and no fish to be seen or heard from anywhere.
We packed up our bags and came home feeling a little bit wintry again -- Spring can't come soon enough! We need a good 55-degree day or two. It's supposed to snow again next week, so March's lion is lined up nicely at the door, awaiting his entry.
Then again, we're probably not the only ones with a little bit of "fishing fever" going on these days. Probably plenty of it out there!
