I was going to initially let this pass but I just can't. Veterans Day is a day to reflect on the service of those who served their country in time or peace or war. They wrote a check for their life to serve their country, just as so many have. Many have had their checks cashed and should be remembered on this day, whether or not we have the day off. A holiday is not what it is about. I attended the local United States Marine Corps Birthday Celebration today. There I had the honor to meet and talk with some real heros, men and women who have served their country honorably and with great pride. Seven men from 90 to 82 who served in WWII, several who served in Korea and numerous who served in Vietnam. Enough from this Doggie who thanked God many times for the USMC being there when I needed them. If you see a vet tomorrow, thank them for what they did. Thank you for your service Trouttickler.
