I decided to go hit a local spot during Sat. between 3-7PM. The river I fished isn't talked about much and have had people indicate that it should probably stay that way, so I won't mention by name.
But it is about 1000' elevation in the sierra foothills. The fishing was slow, I'm sure the rain the night before didn't help. I was able to catch 3 fish the biggest being a 15" (the other 2 were small guys 8" & 10"

. They were mostly keying on a copper john (red or orange) under a small stone fly. Most of my action came early after I hit the water and then died off as it got cooler.
So to answer my own question I think the fishing especially on cooler days is starting to move to the day time and away from the evenings.
Even though this info. isn't specific I thought it might help others. Sorry I don't have pics my wife took the camera to a b-day party. I'll post pics in a couple of weeks when I go again.
