Welcome aboard. There are a number of folks that know the lay of the land in California on this board. Lot's of fishing in this state, from stripers in the delta, to bass at Clear Lake, to steelhead in the Trinity/Klamath, and trout in a lot of places in between. Surf casting for perch and stripers, panfish in many warm waters, shad are a top draw in the Spring in our valley rivers. Some of the spots are closely guarded secrets, but most on this board share freely outside of the public eye via email. There are also a number of good fly shops in the north half of the state which can provide insight.
