I don't get up to Redding much at this time of year, but I do have a trip coming up.
I enjoy reading RJ's posts, even if they are [possibly] a little inflated. I support his right to post fishing reports on this board or any other board. They give me hope!!! I never expect to catch 50 fish, even with Dirty Ernie. I MIGHT, but I don't EXPECT it, and most fisherman you'd rather book again than not don't EXPECT it, either.
I also support Shane's right to object to the posts, although a bit less acrimoniously might be useful.
I have never enjoyed anyone bashing on small independent guide operations, whether it's Sac River Outfitters, RJS Fly Trips or even the infamous Jack Trout. I especially don't enjoy it when the basher works for a very large and successful outfitter. I always wonder - does that fact
have anything to do with the bashing?? mebbe not......
Objections to perceived spam are fine, but when you start getting personal, at least post as The Keeper of the Dark or something.....
or if you are trying to help out a new guide, TAKE IT OFF THE BOARD. Don't be giving away all your business secrets here in public.....
